Note includes ECE-Mark
This article has an E-mark! The E- or ECE approved items are tested throughout Europe and are valid for use on motor vehicles. It is a marking of compulsory components. ECE means that this exam is valid throughout Europe, a Europe-wide CE mark.Nevertheless, the legal regulations and the approved light intensity must be observed during installation. Prior consultation with the responsible inspection authority in the respective country and installation by a specialist workshop is therefore strongly recommended.
Note reference number
1. The reference number or luminous intensity The reference number (Ref.) is a value that refers to driving lamps. According to ECE regulations, this reference number must not exceed the upper limit of 100 per vehicle. The two values of the standard high beam (left and right main headlight) are counted here in addition to the values of other mounted high beam headlights. The value is entered on the lens of approved headlights. That means if 4 headlights with a reference number of 25 each are installed, the lower two will go out when switching on. Then there are no problems. Who does not couple it with the normal high beam and puts it on an extra switch, should consider the following. The switch or display in the vehicle must light up blue and be in the direct field of vision of the driver.
The auxiliary headlamp consists of the electronics, a lightweight, robust die-cast aluminum housing, which is powder-coated in matt black. The lens is made of "indestructible" polycarbonate. The plugs are completely waterproof, as is the spotlight itself. The reflective area in the spotlight is coated with a thin layer of metal using a vacuum process. This increases the light intensity and improves the reflection for a better range and a focused light beam.
The delivery includes a spotlight with cable and a connector plug (AMP3 cable AMP 282105-1). The spotlight and cable are completely waterproof. Two high-quality mounting brackets are also pre-installed on the spotlight. The headlights should be cleaned from time to time. They can be cleaned with warm water and a microfiber cloth. A mild vehicle shampoo can be used for coarser soiling. Once the headlights are clean again, they will again provide a good view in poor visibility.
The headlamp has a reference number of 12.5. The maximum reference number on a vehicle must not exceed 100. The maximum number of headlamps and/or auxiliary headlamps on a vehicle must also be observed. A maximum of two or four auxiliary headlamps are permitted on a passenger car, and a maximum of six auxiliary headlamps are permitted on a truck. With a multi-volt function, it is possible to connect the LED headlamp to an on-board voltage of 12V or 24V. With an optimized weight of 1.7 kg, this is a very light LED headlamp and can easily keep up with other headlamps in terms of performance.
Work on the on-board electronics should be carried out by a specialist workshop. This avoids personal injury and vehicle damage. Proper installation ensures that the auxiliary headlights operate perfectly and thus ensures long-lasting driving pleasure at dusk or in the dark.
