Simple instructions for applying a backing film:

Applying a backing film is not particularly difficult, but it does take care and a proper plan to get a bubble-free and clean result.

Here is a simple step-by-step guide:

What is needed:

Sticker with backing film
A clean cleaning cloth, preferably lint-free
Water or a surface cleaner, depending on the surface
Adhesive tape to attach the sticker to the desired location, for example masking tape
Sharp cutter knife or scissors Measuring tape or a spirit level,
if the desired motif is to be applied straight Credit card or a squeegee, for example the one from our store
An environment in which a temperature of around 20 degrees is guaranteed.

Step 1 (cleaning the surface):

The area should be dry and free of grease and dust. For stubborn dirt, it is best to use a suitable surface cleaner, if available.

Step 2 (applying the sticker to flat surfaces):

Position the sticker on a flat area of your choice. Use a meter stick to measure whether the distance of the sticker is as you want it. Once this has been done, use a spirit level to check that the sticker is positioned exactly where you want it. Once all the above steps have been completed, apply the sticker to the desired position using adhesive tape of your choice, masking tape is particularly suitable.

Step 3 (peel off the backing paper):

Carefully unfold the backing paper on one side like a book. Now slowly peel off the sticker so that it sticks to the top of the backing paper. If small elements stick, try to help them with your fingers or a small knife.

Step 4 (apply the sticker):

Sticking the sticker on now is not difficult. Apply the sticker with the backing film and spread it with a squeegee if available, otherwise with a credit card or similar.

Step 5 (Finally remove the backing film):

- Peel off slowly (preferably at an acute angle). Make sure that all pieces of the sticker adhere securely to the surface.

Tips:

Do not wash the vehicle within the next 24 hours to ensure a secure hold.

For larger stickers, wet application may be advisable, for example with washing-up liquid, as this makes the sticker easier to apply.
